Reference Architecture for Multi-Plant Industrial AI
Establishes the architect-tier blueprint for AI across a manufacturing enterprise: a layered platform with shared services that spans plants, lines, and the OT/IT divide. Sets the structural decisions that single-line, operator-tier deployments depend on without each plant reinventing them.
- From One Line's Copilot to a Multi-Plant Platform
- Control Plane, Data Plane, Inference Plane Across OT and IT
- The Enterprise Model Lifecycle Across Sites
Safety, Security, and the OT/IT Boundary
Treats industrial AI as a new attack and safety surface where a wrong action can move a machine, not just leak a record. Designs the boundaries that keep AI on the right side of the OT/IT divide and never make it load-bearing for a safety function.
- AI on the Right Side of the OT/IT Boundary
- Prompt Injection From Plant Data
- Segmentation by Plant, Line, and Zone
MES, SCADA, and ERP Integration
Confronts the reality that enterprise AI lands in a decades-old estate of MES, SCADA, historians, PLCs, and ERP rather than a greenfield. Covers integration patterns, the anti-corruption layer, and reconciling decisions across many systems of record without destabilizing the line.
- AI Meets MES and SCADA: Integration Without Coupling
- The Anti-Corruption Layer and Event-Driven Seams
- Reconciling Decisions Across Systems of Record
Regulatory-Grade Governance and Model Risk for Operations
Elevates governance from per-line documentation to an enterprise model-risk and accountability framework that a quality auditor, an internal validator, and a plant leadership team can all rely on. Connects AI governance to established quality-management and traceability expectations.
- Model Inventory, Risk Tiering, and Independent Validation
- Independent Validation and Clear Ownership
- Traceability, Explainability, and Accountable Decisions
Reliable Industrial AI at Scale
Treats the AI platform as production infrastructure that must degrade gracefully, plan capacity at the edge and in the cloud, control cost across many sites, and stay controlled when it fails. Closes the architect tier with the non-functional requirements that decide whether the system survives the floor.
- Designing for Graceful Degradation
- Edge, Cloud, Latency, and Provider Resilience
- Unit Economics, SLOs, and Incident Response
Each module ends with a checkpoint; the final exam unlocks once every checkpoint is passed.
A credential employers can verify in seconds.
Pass the coursework and the 70% server-graded final exam and you earn a certificate with a unique serial and a public verification page — tamper-evident and confirmable by anyone, with no account required.
See how verification worksIs the credential verifiable by employers?
Yes. Every certificate has a unique serial and a public verification page at digitalnetworks.ai/verify — no login required. Anyone can confirm it's authentic and unaltered.
What happens if I don't pass an exam?
Each module checkpoint allows up to 3 attempts. The final exam includes one attempt; additional retakes are $50 each. You keep full access to the coursework while you prepare, and the passing score is 70%.
Do I keep access after I finish?
Yes — enrollment is a one-time payment, and your coursework and earned certificate remain yours.
Is creating an account free?
Yes. Accounts are free; you pay once when you enroll in a certification.
